Cono de Arita, Mountain Over The Carpet of Desert Salt

Cono de Arita is a natural wonder that deserves to be admired. Imagine, this small mountain above the salt flats are located near the southern border of the Salar de Arizaro, which is the sixth largest salt desert in the world and the second largest in Argentina. 

For those of you who want to visit Cono de Arita, you can reach the salt flats where the hill is located approximately 70 km from the village of Tolar Grande. Cono de Arita suddenly appeared in the middle of the salt desert.

The mountain was then called Cono de Arita. Cono de Arita at a height of 122 meters. Its name comes from the language Aymara, Arita meaning "sharp". In the early twentieth century, the mountain is believed to be built by humans. However, Cono de Arita was not built by human hands because it comes naturally.

The mountain is also believed to be a small volcano that does not have the power to penetrate curst, so Cono de Arita never throw or floating the lava crater. As reported by Amusing Planet, according to the archaeological remains found in the mountains, this place was once the ceremonial center before the arrival of the Incas.
