Earthquake in Chile, tsunami Up to Indonesia |

Tuesday night Chileans startled terrible shock. An earthquake measuring 8.2 on the Richter scale rocked the northern coast of Chile, causing landslides, power down, and the most feared triggering a tsunami.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred about 96.5 kilometers north of the port city of Iquique, at 20:46 on Tuesday, local time or 06:46 pm, Wednesday, April 2 Western Indonesia Time, with a depth of 10 km. About an hour later, happened eight aftershocks, the largest 6.2 on the Richter scale.
"The earthquake occurred during the two minutes. Not too big, but it shook the building, the room I was shaking, but no damage," said geologist Patrick Moore told the BBC.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, tsunami alert issued warnings to six countries. Among these are Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The tsunami warning was removed on Wednesday morning in all the country.

"The arrival time of the tsunami on Thursday, April 3 at 5:11 pm until 19:44, with a height of 0 to 0.5 meters," he said.
