Coober Pedy familiar to the traveler. This place turned out to be utilized Australian residents to take shelter from the heat of the sun. They prefer to do the activity in the ground.

Coober Pedy comes from the Aboriginal term, kupa piti and means white hole in the ground. So that in here, relaxed and friendly atmosphere can be found. Because, as many as 3,500 people from over 45 countries actually went to the basement to take shelter from the searing heat of the hinterland.

Most of the people working in the mines opal, but the underground community they managed to create this unique area complete with a church, hotel, and golf course with no grass, and make tourism the second largest industry here. This location was found in 1913 by a 14 year old boy named Willie Hutchison.

For tourists who come to this place, are required to wear hard hats while in the abandoned mine. This location has now turned into a museum that has penetrated tens of millions of tourists from all over the world. In fact, this region is one of the favorite destination of world travelers.
